Beihang University professor published a cover article on 《Nature Methods》

Recently, the international technical and methodological journal "Nature Methods" (the latest impact factor is 25.953) published a cover article “Conformal nanopatterning of extracellular matrix proteins onto topographically complex surfaces”. The work was accomplished by Dr. Sun Yan of School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering Beihang University and her collaborator professor Adam Feinberg of Carnegie Mellon University, USA. The research developed a new method to control how cells are organized on topographical surfaces guided by ECM protein, in order to increase the biocompatibility of biomaterial and implantable medical devices, which is a key process for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The paper was selected as the "TOP STORY" in the first weekly extracellular matrix newsletter of 2015 as soon as it published online.

Dr. Yan Sun, Associate professor of School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering, Beihang University. Her research interests are mechanobiology and tissue engineering.
